Ranjit Bawa Detroit Concert reviews
Terribly Disappointing
Do not miss out on this tour!!! The first 3 bands were all better than Ranjit Bawa.
The show began with Round Here, one of our favorite Crows songs. The melody of the lyrics was flipped around, and it was barely bearable. Shaking their heads, people could be seen looking around, and my daughter and I didn't even applaud. The other 2 favorites -- Mr. Jones and Rain King -- were just as disappointing. Mr. Jones was totally flat and Rain King wasn't even identifiable. Adam seemed so disinterested in these songs that he needed to alter them just to be able to sing. Our impression was that Adam was there merely to get paid, and wasn't into the performance at all. There was zero connection with the crowd, not even a nod to the fact that he was performing in one of the most stunning venues in the country. Additionally, no mention of the fires and shootings that have been an issue in Colorado. Shame on you Adam, I anticipated much more.
There were also too many cover songs. Strangely, the encore consisted of two cover songs as well, the first of which he forgot the lyrics to and had to restart. Luckily, many had already departed at that point and didn't have to endure the disappointing final minutes of this concert.
This concert was so terrible and left such a sour taste in my mouth that I'm unsure if I will ever listen to the Crows the same way again. I most certainly won't see them again. Don't miss out on this tour!!!
